Day 16, to (river camp)  124km , 1285 to date,  1529m up, 1006m end

This has been a spectacular day and an absolutely brutal day.

The brutal part first:  The ride today was exactly like the Vancouver/Whistler GranFondo, except on rough gravel, in some cases absolutely bone rattling rough gravel.  Sleep will not be a problem tonight!

Really impressive country side, lots of livestock, wild horses, and Mongolians on horseback.

  1. The "freeway" reminds me of the Alaska Hwy. back in 1964/65. There's a desert up there too, even though the ground is muskeg, still classified as "desert".
