Riding day #8, August 31, 2019:  Sarchu to Jispa:  947M up, 78km, 4,918 ( 16,135ft.) max, 3,397m (11,145ft) end

Again strong reminders that we are in the Himalaya’s - high altitude, very high peaks around us, rushing rivers, sometimes across the what was once called the road.  There was a quite rough climb out of camp, but then a very nice (mostly) descent after.

In many ways very similar to being in the rockies, but everything is twice as big.
