Riding day #11, Sept 6, 2019: Kaza to Tabo 411M up, 50km, 3,833M (12, 575 ft.) max, 3,336M end.
An easy day ride, a bit rough at times but mostly downhill. We are still at 3,337M (10,950 ft) elevation so everything is still hard.
The scenery continues as similar so only a few pics.
One pic of interest is this one, showing two young kids in a small basket pulling themselves across the river in an areal pull-tram. This is their route to school. I’ve confirmed that in India education to grade 12 is free, actually free for the girls but the boys (parents) have to pay a very small amount for high school.
There continue to be very high mountain peaks around us, probably in the 18,000ft+ range.
