Day 121 to Tikme Dash Camp, Iran, 107km, 9,888 to date, 873m up,  1782m end.

A relatively easy day, although climbing all day, there was a light wind behind, so was cruising uphill at 25-27km/hr.

A good conversation with our Iranian support person.  About only 5-10% of the population wants the Mullahs in power.  On the other hand they do recognize that Iran has not been involved in any conflicts for a long time, this is especially good, considering its neighbours.  Other than the fight against ISIS.  The major complaint with the Mullahs is that they forbid anything that resembles being happy - dancing, night clubs, fashionable clothing, almost anything that would result in laughter and happiness.

We see a lot of pictures (see below).  These are young men that died in the Iran/Iraq war.  That war (Iraq invaded Iran) is the source of much of the Iranian “displeasure” with Iraq and the West, in particular the US that funded Iraq in the war.

All the roundabouts (and there are a lot of them) have some form of art/statue in the middle, an example:

I've see at lot of CNG (compressed natural gas) filling stations in Iran, BC is definitely slow to market on CNG:

There are a couple forms of these "entering town" signs, that correspond to large (below), medium and small towns:

Those of you that are really paying attention will notice that I have reversed the order of posts 120 and 121.
